This one's for you, Dad

The Phillies won the World Series. They're opening the sweater drawers in Hades.

I said to Darwin, "If the Phillies win the series, my dad can die happy." Darwin suggested that it might be nice to have him around for another forty years. That sounds about right: he can die happy the next time the Phils are world champs.

Cheesesteaks on me, guys.

The Reds have to win some year too before he dies happy...so he should be around a long time hopefully.

If it's any consolation, my dad said the same thing when the Angels won in 2002, and he's still around today. However, I'm not sure if it's a blessing or a curse given how close they've come to winning again only to blow it.
